A Sneak Peek at Stealing Hearts (St. Mary's Academy Shorts Book 3)

A Sneak Peek At Stealing Hearts

(St. Mary's Academy Shorts Book 3)

Hey Peeps!

Great news. I've been working on another novella. In keeping with the theme of the St. Mary's Academy universe -twisted contemporary YA fairytales- I've targeted another strong male character that I am especially fond of.

Aladdin.

I know what you're thinking. What about The Secret Lives of Princesses?

Yes, The Secret Lives of Princesses is loosely based on the story of Aladdin, but it's told from Jasmine's point of view.

Stealing Hearts is also loosely based on the story of Aladdin, but this is told from Aladdin's point of view.

Not to worry. They are two completely different stories. Stealing Hearts will be released first (release date coming soon) and The Secret Lives of Princesses will be released shortly after that.

Now that we have that out of the way, let me give you a little background on Stealing Hearts. Stealing Hearts will follow Alex Winters as he attempts to win the girl of his dreams and help his sister out of some BIG trouble. It's like Aladdin meets Blank Check meets contemporary romance.

Here's a brief scene between Alex and Cassia. Enjoy!

“And, who’s the lucky girl you’re going to ask to the Spring Fling?” Cassia asked.
You. “Um… I haven’t decided yet,” I replied.
“You’re lying.”
I was indeed lying. “No. Really.”
“You know who you want to ask. Come on, tell me.” She nudged me with one dainty elbow. “Is she cute?”
My eyes raked over Cassia’s heart-shaped face.
“Gorgeous.”
“And smart?”
“Brilliant.”
“Is she a snob?”
“Not in the least.”
She gave me another push but this time I didn’t pretend to be injured. I couldn’t pull my eyes away from her.
She was heartbreakingly perfect.
“So, what’s the problem? Ask her already.”
I shrugged. “I can’t. She’s way out of my league. Plus, she’s kind of into someone else.”
I finally found the will to rip my eyes away from Cassia's sweet face and pick a piece of nonexistent lint from my jeans. If I continued to gawk at her, one of two things would happen. I would confess my undying love and throw myself at her feet, or she would be creeped out and never speak to me again.

Neither one of those things were an option.

Keep on the lookout for a cover reveal (if you're on my mailing list, the cover has gotten a fresh new look), release dates, longer excerpts, and more.

Til next time.

Peace Out!
